Is my student ready for piano lessons?
I have taught students as young as Kindergarten. When I am evaluating a student for lesson preparedness I look for a few things:
1. Their ability to focus
2. Their ability to reach the keys on the piano
3. Their familiarity of the alphabet
If a student meets my criteria for the three items above, then I may consider that student ready for piano lessons.
How long are piano lessons?
Piano lessons are typically 30 minutes long. Lessons can be longer if desired.
How much do lessons cost?
Lessons at my residence are $25 / lesson.
Lessons outside of my residence are approved on a case by case basis for $35 / lesson.
There is a family discount for multiple students within the same household. Please talk with me directly to learn more.
Do you provide lesson books?
I can provide lesson books and add the book cost to your invoice, or I can tell you what book(s) your student(s) need and you may purchase them. It is completely up to you.
I have a student / students with sports schedules that change frequently. Can my student(s) still take piano lessons?
Absolutely! I will do my best to accommodate your needs throughout the year. I typically schedule lesson times based on the academic year, and then create a summer schedule when school is not in session. If you know that your student is going to have an ever-changing sports schedule, just let me know as soon as possible so that it can be factored into the scheduling process.
